About the Bloxels Lesson Plans
In 2014 our team worked closely with the Grand Center Arts Academy (GCAA) to create the following lesson plans build around the Design Thinking Process made popular by the Stanford Design School. The teacher at GCAA, Andrew Goodin, started experimenting by using our game building tools to teach his students design thinking, and later volunteered to create these lesson plans to share with others. They have since been adapted and modified to support Bloxels.
Every classroom is different, and unfortunately we could not accommodate for every age or varying numbers of devices per classroom. You may see instances where you need to make the curriculum more challenging or less challenging depending on your students. This goes for the number of devices your classroom has as well. We have written the plans assuming each student will have access to a tablet, however that is not a requirement.
Just Getting Started?
If you are just getting started with Bloxels, we also offer an Educator Getting Started Guide. We recommend reviewing this information before or in addition to these lesson plans.
